Keiki Sailing Program
Did you know we offer a FREE KEIKI SAILING PROGRAM to kids between 13-18?
Our keiki sails are such a beautiful opportunity to expose your child to a unique and enriching experience out in nature whilst having lots of fun at the same time.
Led by Captain Ralph and his experienced crew. We are focused on sharing our passion for all things ocean with the kids. To include teaching them not just about boats/sailing, the ocean, marine wildlife, sustainability, weather, the island etc... but also about the importance of paying attention to directions, clear communication, and being able to work both independently as well as part of a cohesive team. And whatever other learning we can squeeze in during our 4 hour voyage!
First Sundays of Every Month
Our keiki sails are currently held on the 1st Sunday of every month. Kids get dropped off at the sailboat at approx 10:30am and we return back to the harbour usually around 2:30 with an additional 30 mins dockside spent washing the boat down. Pick up is between 3/3:30pm. Kids bring their own lunch and drinks. We encourage reusable water bottles and tupperwares for food to align with our minimal waste, environmental practices.
It is important to understand that this is not a babysitting service for parents who need a day off from their unruly kids! Our prefered ages for participating keiki is 13-18 with the understanding that once aboard, children will be expected to be an active participant and respectful of our "all hands on deck" policy.
Our next sail on the 1st Sunday of next month. Maximum capacity is 10 and we offer spots on a first come first serve basis so don't delay - contact us and sign your child up to become a member of our keiki crew today!
